Product Description

Seasons video by the Collective

The premise of the movie is to follow seven riders as they go through the four seasons of the year exploring their lives. Fittingly winter was the first season and the movie starts out with Steve Peat at his home in Sheffield England. It then bounces around the world to Aptos Ca and Cam McCaul, and his off-season training of a launch ramp to back yard pool, the rich man's foam pit. Also has a piece on Bearclaw's training which was similar to McCaul's but a launch into an old rock quarry. Incidentally a quarry on Vancouver Island in the winter is much colder than sunny SoCal, but Darren was ahead of the game donning a wetsuit. It took me a couple seconds to figure out what he was wearing, but I couldn?t stop laughing when I figured it out. Looks funny, but makes total sense.

From winter we move into spring and some great riding with Thomas Vanderham & Matt Hunter. Matt Hunter builds a huge Kamloops hip jump that is definitely one of the largest jumps I have seen, and worth buying the movie for on its own.

Summer has a great bit on Steve Smith, which is Canada?s next fastest racer. His mom is fully supportive of his racing and she shuttles him up to 6 times a day (in her Geo Tracker) up the hills outside of Victoria BC. A somewhat touching moment between mother and son both working towards the goal of becoming a world champion. They then go to Mt. Seven Psychosis race in Golden BC with Tyler Morland, Steve Smith and a Aussie racer named Sam Hill. This race has been on the radar for some of the best racers in the world the last couple years due to its timing before Crankworx and the fact that it is ridiculously hard. At about 12 minutes long it could be one of the hardest races in North America.

From summer it moves to fall and the end of the season for most of the crew. They finally get some time to play around and take it somewhat easy. There is a great section of most of them chasing each other down A-Line & Karate Monkey, each tying to one up each other.
